London-based startup Chaos AI has secured £1m in pre-seed funding to develop its collaborative music platform, which aims to bring communication, file sharing and project management together in one workspace for musicians and producers.
The funding round was led by Bridford Group, with participation from digital music distribution company Amuse and a group of investors and industry figures from across the global music sector. The investment will support product development, infrastructure improvements and expansion across the UK and US, ahead of the platform’s public launch in October 2026.
Founded by Ruhan Verma, Chaos AI has developed a workspace designed to address the challenges faced by artists and producers working across multiple software tools, messaging platforms and file-sharing services. The platform combines communication features, live writing rooms and project management tools, allowing creative teams to collaborate within a single environment.
The technology also includes a proprietary provenance layer, which records creative contributions and attributes work to individual contributors. The feature is designed to give artists greater visibility over the creative process, helping them establish who contributed to a piece of music as projects develop.
Verma, who began producing music at the age of 13, said his experience working with artists and producers had highlighted the limitations of existing tools and the difficulties created by fragmented workflows.
He said: “So much effort that goes into the creative process gets lost purely because of disconnected tools and current creator tools felt outdated. This investment will support our growth and ambition to be the single source of truth in the industry, just like Notion is for businesses.”
The company plans to use the funding to continue developing its product, expand into international markets and scale its operations as it prepares to bring the platform to a wider audience.
Amuse, which provides digital distribution services for independent artists and record labels, is among the investors backing the business. The company supports musicians with releasing music and developing their careers, and said Chaos AI’s approach to tracking creative contributions could become increasingly important as artists manage their work and music catalogues.
Giorgio D’Ambrosio, CEO of Amuse, said: “CHAOS shares that belief and adds something the industry increasingly needs: provenance. A clear record of every contribution will not only facilitate releasing and managing catalogs, but play an increasingly bigger role in which music gets heard, and we’re proud to back Ruhan and the CHAOS team building it.”
The investment comes as music technology businesses continue to develop tools aimed at supporting independent musicians and simplifying the process of creating, releasing and managing music. For Chaos AI, the funding will provide additional resources to refine its platform and establish a presence in international markets.
The company aims to build a unified operating system for music creators, giving artists and producers a central place to manage collaborative projects while maintaining a record of individual contributions.
With its public launch planned for October, the business will now focus on expanding its technology and operations as it prepares to bring its platform to musicians and producers across the UK and US.
